LyroSync

Free

Working folder to Archive. One way. Nothing lost.

LyroSync copies new and changed footage from the folder you're actively editing in into your long-term Archive. Proxy-aware, so it can tell your camera masters apart from their proxies. Additive only: nothing already in Archive is ever deleted, and every overwrite keeps a backup of what it replaced.

See it in action

Watch it run on a real wedding archive.

What it does

Built for the mistake that actually happens.

Archive is never touched

LyroSync only ever adds to your Archive. Overwriting an existing file always moves the old version to a timestamped backup first, so a bad sync is never destructive.

Proxy-aware, not proxy-blind

Detects proxy media by pairing it against its source and confidence tier, not just by folder name. Anything it can't confidently match is flagged and never pre-selected for you.

Catches the wrong-folder save

If a file only exists in Archive with a newer date than anything in Working, that's the signature of an accidental direct-to-archive save. LyroSync flags it individually, every time, even if you've chosen to bulk-overwrite everything else.

Works with any NLE

A standalone desktop app. Doesn't need any editing software installed to run. Mac and Windows.
